WESTLIFE star Shane Filan left his fans all “mesmerised” after sharing a major throwback video with Mariah Carey.
The Sligo native had first worked with the Touch My Body singer back in 2000, alongside Westlife, on their hit track Against All Odds – a cover of the original track by Phil Collins.
Shane took to Instagram today and posted a clip of himself and Mariah performing the song together on stage.
The video was from 23 years ago.
The singer looked dapper wearing a black suit on and a white shirt.
While Mariah stunned in denim jeans and a pink suede zip up hoodie.
The 44-year-old captioned his post: “Nothing to see here… just a young fella from Sligo singing with Mariah Carey!”
Shane’s friends and fans all loved the throwback footage and complimented his “great” voice.
Westlife star Kian Egan said: “Unreal buddy! Who would have though that walking up to school when we were 15!”
Chen wrote: “Mesmerising voice.”
Karen commented: “Shane’s voice.”
Erisna added: “Wow so great.”
Last month fans have hailed Shane as the “best dad” after he made the ultimate birthday surprise for his son.
The singer and his wife Gillian are parents to their daughter Nicole and sons Patrick and Shane Junior.
Shane was on tour with his bandmates Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne in Asia.
The band performed at the Helong Sports Center Stadium in Changsha, China, today.
The Sligo native took a break from singing to speak to the audience and said: “I need to do a video for my son Patrick.
“It’s his birthday today. He’s 15 years old today and I’m not there obviously.
“But I’m here with all my friends in Changsha. I’d like to sing happy birthday to my son and I’d like you to help me, is that okay?”
The entire stadium started singing Happy Birthday for Patrick.
Shane looked like he was missing his son as he put his hand over his heart.
The 44-year-old shared the heart-melting clip on Instagram and said: “Happy birthday Patrick. All the way from China! Thank you Changsha for making this video special for my son.”
